Six Implausible Things Before Breakfast

"I can't believe that!" said Alice.

"Can't you?" the queen said in a pitying tone. "Try again, draw a long breath, and shut your eyes."

Alice laughed. "There's no use trying," she said. "One can't believe impossible things."
"I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."

So. This is my first attempt at blogging, and it is going to concern itself with my current work in progress - the alternate history timeline Empty America. For those who stumbled upon this by accident, rather than through the soc.history.what-if newsgroup, the timeline is now up to date on my web site: www.althist.com.

I am going to try not to do any spoilers on the main plot thread, but rather I am just going to noodle out what I am working on, what books I am reading, and what factoids I am stumbling across that may work their way into the timeline. Input is always welcome.

cheers,

Doug
